The university's digital security is being strengthened: MS Defender is now available as the central pillar of a comprehensive security solution in the fight against cybercrime. Users can now be protected against viruses, malware, ransomware and other digital threats in real time. Major advantages include

• Automatic scanning in the background,
• the low system resource requirements,
• and regular updates.

All centrally managed computers and all PC pools have already been equipped with the new protection software.

Appropriate scripts have been made available for decentralised computers that are not administered by the URZ. There are separate scripts for each faculty. (The different scripts are necessary for device tagging and ensure subsequent granular access authorisation on the devices for the individual faculties/facilities|institutions|(structural) units).
