As part of the ChinaKooP initiative, the paper “China Expertise at Thuringian Universities and Research Institutions: Results of the ChinaKooP Survey” was published. The study by Linus Schlüter and Karoline Oelsner provides the first systematic analysis of the China-related expertise available at universities and research institutions in Thuringia and identifies areas where further development is needed.

The findings provide important insights into existing knowledge and experience structures regarding engagement with China, while also highlighting potential for further expanding China-related expertise in academia and research. In this way, the publication contributes to the strategic advancement of international cooperation.

The paper was published in March 2026 as the second issue of the ChinaAHa Papers series (China Analyses and Action Competence) and is freely accessible via the German Academic Exchange Service.
