Participation in two lectures from the China Competence lecture series can be credited toward the China Competence Certificate?de with 4 credit units in the elective module.
Note
In her lecture, Dr. Yasmin Koppen examines the role that sacred spaces and religious practices have played in the historical relations between China and Vietnam. She shows how religious sites and rituals have not only spiritual but also political significance and have been used in diplomatic and social negotiation processes.
The lecture will last approximately 45 to 60 minutes, followed by a discussion and an opportunity for questions.
