Information about starting your studies

We are happy to welcome you at the University of Jena so that we can start in the new semester together. For all new students, the Orientation Days always take place before the start of the lectures to make it easier for you to get started. Before the first semester starts, there will certainly still be many questions:?

  • How do I create my study plan for the first semester?
  • How do I register for a course?
  • Whom can I turn to if I have subject-specific questions?

To answer all these questions, we organize the?Orientation Days at the University of Jena from 1 to 10 October 2025. In addition, a programme will be offered during the welcome days starting in September.
