Tasks

The Office manages projects related on current topics under the responsibility of the Executive Board. In their layout, these projects cover multiple fields of activity, are interdepartmental and often involve external partners. The Office reports directly to the President?de.

Examples of projects:

  • Coordination of the University of Jena's activities in the federal-state programme of the Excellence StrategyExternal link (funding line II, University of Excellence)
  • Coordination of the DFG University Allowance for the Cluster of Excellence "Balance of the Microverse"
  • Supporting and monitoring the strategic development of the University of Jena
  • Supporting the strategic process for university development 2030+External link initiated by the Thuringian Ministry?
  • Supporting the further development of the University of Jena's profile areas
  • Participation in the Quality Council of the European University Alliance EC2U
  • Interface between the Executive Board and faculties for the external academic faculty advisory boards of the University of Jena
  • Conception and organisation of prominent events in the University of Jena's "Facets of Freedom"?de series

How we work

The Office for Strategic Projects clusters information on the strategic development of the university and makes it available to the Exceutive Board or other units of the university. It coordinates projects and events. It develops project-related programs and measures, and cooperates with various units of the university. It provides a platform for those units involved in strategy development.?
